The CCN1 re-assessment course is designed for seasoned gas installers aiming to maintain their ACS qualifications. To remain Gas Safe Registered, CCN1 re-assessment, along with associated appliances, is mandatory every five years. This package covers central heating and hot water boilers(CENWAT), cookers (CKR1), and space heaters/fires (HTR1).
The Core Domestic Gas Safety CCN1 re-assessment training encompasses vital topics such as combustion, gas pipe work, tightness testing, purging (including low and medium pressure), chimney system recognition and testing, ventilation, gas controls, and flue gas analysis. Gas appliance re-assessment training delves into installation defects and basic gas safety fault finding. The CCN1 re-assessment is conducted through practical tests and multiple-choice question papers. Upon successful completion of the course, candidates are awarded the Blue Flame certificate in Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) and relevant appliance certifications.
Being a member of the Gas Safe register is obligatory for any gas installer operating in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, and Guernsey. To become a registered domestic gas installer, one must possess Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) certification alongside qualifications for specific appliances. ACS qualifications necessitate renewal every five years. This comprehensive package includes training and re-assessment covering core domestic gas safety, central heating, hot water boilers, cookers, and space heaters, including gas fires and wall heaters.
